Ch’umilal | Maya Cross Reading
It is through the Cholq'ij, the Sacred Calendar, that the whole life and spirituality of the Maya people revolves. In it, the ancestral grandfathers and grandmothers bequeathed us an extraordinary tool for our development and evolution. The Cholq'ij is composed of 20 different energies, ten that arise from the cosmos and ten that come from Mother Earth, which vibrate in 13 different manifestations, thus creating the 260 energies that form this calendar. This is a count of time in relation to the development and life of the human being, for more than simply measuring time itself, the Cholq'ij counts the energies that influence our daily life.

The Mayan Cross arises from this Sacred Calendar, it is the relation of the different cosmic and telluric energies that converged on the day of our birth and that imprinted in us their characteristics and powers. It is said that our energy of birth, or Ch'umil, is the star that guides our life, as each person is born under the protection of a Ch'umil or star that guides the life, development, and evolution of that being. Knowing the energy of your personal Ch'umil helps you to better understand who you are, to be aware of your capabilities in order to develop them to the maximum, and to know your limitations so that they do not hinder your growth. Being conscious of who we are helps us to develop ourselves, to project the different stages of our life, and thus fulfill our purpose of being.

Tz’ite
In the Maya world there are elements that help us find guidance on our path. The Ajq’ijab’ or spiritual guides use the Tz'ite Seeds and Sacred objects of the Pisom Q'aq'al (Sacred Pouch) as one of the tools that allows them to consult things to the energies.
This is a form of consultation that helps people who are in situations in any aspect of life in which they need guidance in order to make a better decision. The messages that the Tz'ite brings, unveils the energies available to us so that our actions can be aligned with the force of that moment. The Tz'ite reading is probably one of the most ancient "divination" methods that is still in use.
